People love to watch videos.  Just the idea of 'moving-pictures' alone...the basic notion of an image that can come alive and imitate life so convincingly stirs up the imagination.  Today almost everyone is equipped with a video camera that they carry with them at all times on their phones. Some people might argue that the proliferation of phone cameras and in turn the massive amount of photography and videography that is being created every day has taken the art and craft out of cinema.  But I would argue that spontaneity produces some of the most interesting imagery that can be captured, and that the immediacy offered by DSLR and phone-cameras has enabled people everywhere to produce amazing pictures.

So then what is the video production process?

Video production is more than simply pressing the record button on your video camera.

The process of creating a video from concept to completion consists of three phases: Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production. Phase one (Pre-Production) is where all the planning and coordination happens, phase two (Production) is when you capture all the elements and gather all of the materials that will be in your final video and phase three (Post-Production) is where all the elements get edited together and combined to create the final video.
